Childcare Teacher/Language Teacher

One whose main job responsibility is to take charge of a particular group of children in the centre. The teacher is to teach, implement and guide the children in directed and free choice activities. In addition, she is responsible for the welfare, health, personal hygiene and safety of the children under her care. Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications:-

·At least 5 GCE ‘O’ Level including a B4 in English/Chinese
· At least DPE- T/DECCE-T trained or its equivalent recognized by MCYS
· A love and passion for working with children

Children Enrolment and Programme Offered

Sonshine offer a bilingual (English and Mandarin) programme which emphasizes on the child’s “ALL-ROUND DEVELOPMENT” through Integrated cum Thematic Approach activities. Children are grouped according to their ages and they learn through work and play in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. In addition, optional programmes such as Speech & Drama and Computer Course are offered on a per term basis.

We believe in strong home-school partnership. Therefore, we work closely, hand in hand with parents in nurturing the child by providing a home away from home. Professional development of teachers is important to us; hence, all teaching staff are given in service training and sponsored for courses related to Early Childhood Education.

Registration is open all year round subject to availability of vacancies. Children between the ages of 18 months to 12 years old are eligible for admission. Eligible parents(Singaporeans) will be entitled for government subsidy based on mother/single father’s employment status.

We provide full day, half day and before and after school care services. Our operating hours are:-

Full Day Care:
Mondays to Fridays, 7.00am to 7.00pm
Saturdays, 7.00am to 2.00pm
Half Day Care:
Mondays to Fridays: 7.00am to 1.00pm Or : 1.00pm to 7.00pm
